Tiger Airways Singapore (“Tiger Airways Singapore”) is a low-cost airline named in the name of the city-state, carrying passengers to the main cities of Southeast Asia, China and India. The home base is Singapore’s largest air harbor, Changi.
The carrier fleet consisting of more than 20 aircrafts is formed from the aircraft of one manufacturer, Airbus. The number of destinations served by the end of autumn 2016 is a little over forty.

Haikou, Shenzhen and Guangzhou (February); the beginning of flights to the designated cities of the Middle Kingdom (April); announcement of readiness to expand the route network by 1/3 (from 15 to 20 directions); a powerful increase in passenger traffic (up to 1.2 million people / year; + 75% relative to the results of 2005); the beginning of work on the model of the cult at that time budget carrier Ryanair (the history of this airline is available on our website); recognition of the Low Cost Airline of the Year according to the CAPA analysis center (this annual award is given to low-cost airlines that have managed to best adapt to the changing market realities and shape new trends in their segment). 2007, March 23 – the start of flights to the Australian Perth. 2008 – cessation of flights to Darwin. 2010 – re-recognition of the CAPA’s Lowoucter of the Year. October 31, 2011 – shutting down flights from Indian Bangalore. March 24, 2014 – the signing of the “Memorandum of Intent” with the holding of Airbus for the purchase of 37 new machines of the A320-200neo series (with an option to supply 13 more aircraft of this model). 2015, stopping flights to Perth; April – exit from Golden Myanmar Airlines; August – announcement of the inclusion in the route network years. Quanzhou (PRC) and Lucknow (India); September 28 – the beginning of flights to Quanzhou; December 3 is the first flight to Lucknow. 2016, May 16 – entry into the Value Alliance low-cost airline industry community (participants also include the Philippine company Cebu Pacific, the South Korean Jeju Air, the Thai Nok Air and NokScoot, the Australian namesake Tigerair Australia and the Japanese Vanilla Air).

By mid-autumn 2016, Tiger Airways served 40 destinations located within a 5-hour flight radius from Singapore in the Philippines, India, Thailand, China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Myanmar and Maldives.
