In the Russian market represented a huge number of brands of shoes. Among them there are famous and not very well known and familiar only to a few. Unfortunately, among them there are brands that seek to create the illusion of their western origin and sometimes deliberately mislead customers. This article will focus on just such brands.
Attention! The attribution of any brand to the number of werewolves is a very responsible matter. It’s hard to say anything with 100% confidence, so I do not undertake this business. Therefore, I emphasize that here I collect just suspicious brands. And explain why they are suspicious. In addition, there are brands that do not hide Russian origin: just for information, as there are people who, because the name is foreign, think that the brand itself, say, English or Italian.
Despite the fact that I very responsibly approached the preparation of this material, I could make mistakes. Therefore, you can use the information only at your own risk. I emphasize that the presence of a brand in the article does not mean that it is a “werewolf”. Information in the article was relevant at the time of publication of the article or at the time of the amendment. I am ready to correct incorrect information in the case of bringing undeniable evidence of its inaccuracy.
Econika. Very popular in Russia, a network of stores of women’s shoes. Owns a number of own brands: RiaRosa, RiaRosa Classic,
Aaltonen. A few decades ago, it was a large and respected Finnish shoe brand with a rich history (which can be found here). In the 1980s, it (and the shoe factory) became the property of the Finnish company Rentto Oy, but production stopped in 1997; the brand left the market (see here). However, enterprising Russian citizens decided to “resurrect” the brand. The current Aaltonen has a website only in Russian and sells shoes only in Russia. One can only guess who designs and makes these shoes where.
Alba. This is a Russian brand; shoes sold under it, made in Russia, China and Italy. On the company’s website, the question of origin is cleverly bypassed, but “Italian style and quality” are mentioned; Alba does not have an English-language website (not to mention Italian-speaking). The name Alba, as they say, is formed from the first letters of the name and surname of its owner, whose name is Alexander Bayer.
The company itself claims to produce shoes in Italy; There is no information about the Alba shoe brand in the Italian-language Internet, but the very possibility of producing a part of the range in Italy is quite real. In any case, however, the information obtained in the English-language Internet confirms the suspicion about the Russian origin of the company (see here). Perhaps the most expensive models are really sewn in Italy, but cheaper ones are obviously in other countries.
Andgilo Savallini. The name may bring thoughts about Italy, but this brand has no website in Italian. There is an English-language website, but it is hosted in Russia, and the domain is registered to a Russian person. The brand is silent about its origin; There are no legends. It is known that this trademark has existed since 2003.
Argo. Footwear under this ambiguous name has been produced since 1991 at the Pyatigorsk shoe factory. On the website of the brand honestly talking about the Russian production. Reasonable prices, quality, as they say, decent.
Avela Bellini. Shoes of this brand are made in Russia, as the company owning the brand writes on its website, though a bit floridly. There are no legends, but on the websites of some stores you can find words about European traditions and
Baden. About the origin is silent. In the foreign Internet information about this brand is not at all. Prices are not very high; reviews are different – quite a lot of positive, but there are also negative ones. Production: China.
Baldi (Baldi London). This brand has a full-fledged website in English, but it is curious that it is hosted in Russia, and its domain is registered to a Cyprus organization with a contact person, whose first and last name evoke thoughts about Russia and Armenia (see here). Baldi shoes are made in China. To London, apparently, has nothing to do. According to Alexa, most visitors to the site
Barcelo Biagi. Positioned as a Spanish brand, founded in 1987. In fact, Barcelo Biagi has a website only in Russian; It is hosted in Russia, and its domain is registered to a private person from Russia. Information about Barcelo Biagi in the foreign Internet is almost nonexistent.
Basconi. On its website, this brand tells the legend that originated in Tuscany in 1942. In stores, sellers also tell legends. However, this brand simply does not have a website in Italian, and in the English-language section only shops in Russia and the CIS are indicated. In the English-language Internet about this brand of information at least; only a couple of sites say that “this is a Russian-Italian joint venture, founded in 2001.”
Basic Editions. There are no particular legends, however, the website says that the brand has achieved success all over the world and opened “shopping centers” in more than 20 countries. To put it mildly, a dubious statement. The site is only in Russian. Shoes are made in China. The brand specializes in producing copies of models of famous designer brands. They say that the ratio of price and quality is good.
BruDi. Brand of casual shoes in the middle price segment. Awarded for the Portuguese. He does not even have a website in Russian, not like in Portuguese. There is no information about this brand on the English and Portuguese Internet. WildBerries identifies Ukraine as the country of the brand, and Portugal as the country of production. Alas, it is quite difficult to verify.
BurgerSchuhe. Honestly declares Russian origin and Russian production. But the name is very much “under Germany.” Footwear under this brand is sold only in Russia. The quality, judging by the reviews, is good, so it is quite possible to buy. But do not believe the tales of German origin, which some sellers can tell.
Camelot. Also a Russian brand, produces shoes (and, by the way, clothes) mainly in China. Legends and myths about their origin will not invent. It was originally aimed at making collections of large fashion brands accessible to the public. Therefore, Camelot often simply copies the design of Western firms. Value for money is not bad.
Calipso. The name evokes thoughts about Italy. We look at Wikipedia and see that Calypso is a nymph, a character of ancient Greek myths. Well, the shoes that are sold under this brand are of Russian-Chinese origin. Actually, the company itself does not hide it – just look at its website. There is no legend, although it is not directly stated that this is a Russian brand.
Another famous Russian brand – Carlo pazolini. On the Internet, you can find stories about how lovers of this brand tried to find Carlo Pazolini stores in Italy. They did not succeed – none of the Italians know about this brand. However, now Carlo Pazolini is developing very actively. And shops in Italy are already open, as well as in some other countries of the world.
Carlo Pazolini shoes are mainly sewn in Eastern Europe and China. The brand is distinguished by a rather thorough “reservation” for an Italian company – it even has a website in Italian. There is a beautiful legend about the master Carlo Pazolini that never existed.
Carnaby, Chester and TJ Collection. Ostensibly these are English brands that produce shoes in Italy and Spain. In fact, neither in Great Britain, nor in Spain, nor in Italy have they ever heard of such brands. Most of the shoes, apparently, are sewn in China and Vietnam. In Italy, as some have suggested, they can simply inlay insoles, which makes it possible to place the stamp Made in Italy.
Mark Centro, if you did not know, it belongs to the large Russian network Tsentrobuv and has no relation to Europe. The quality leaves much to be desired, but for such a price it is difficult to wait for something good.
Clotilde. The brand has no website, but these shoes are widely represented in major Russian online stores.
Cooper. The brand, which probably belongs to Rising LLC, as well as the brand Renaissance. This shoe is sold (judging by what was found on the Internet) only in Russia. Production countries: Slovenia, China, Portugal (need to be refined for a specific model).
Corso Como. A remarkable case. It must be said that there is an American (according to other sources, American-Brazilian) brand of shoes CC Corso Como. But in Russia, the shoes of the American Corso Como are not for sale. Our Corso Como is a completely different brand based in Russia. The main differences from the American: the presence of the male line and another logo. The Russian Corso Como does not say openly about its origin, but does not invent legends either. Declares active collaboration with European designers. Perhaps this is so, the design is really nice. The quality is good, although there are also complaints. Shoes are made, apparently, partly in Italy, partly in China.
Creato. Brand shoes from Kaliningrad. Sew, as they say, in China. The site is not even in Russian. The reviews are contradictory.
Crosby. The brand is positioned as Scottish. He has a website in English, but he is hosted in Russia, and the domain is registered to a Russian company (see here). The Wildberries store generally honestly writes on its website in the Crosby product cards: “Brand Country: Russia”. Chinese production. Crosby shoes are sold, apparently, only in Russia (and, perhaps, some CIS countries).
CV Cover. Russian brand of shoes in the middle price segment. It has a website in three languages, including Italian (in the .ru domain). In general, this brand is more or less honest, although there is an obvious “zakos” under Italy. Laconic and streamlined formulations from the series “production in Russia and Europe”, “the appearance is developed by the best Italian and Russian designers.” Specific countries of production (except Russia) are not called. And in the store
Dali. Russian brand of men’s and women’s shoes of various styles. Production countries: mainly China, something is produced in European countries. The reviews are generally quite good; There are, however, serious complaints about quality (but not mass ones).
Dino Ricci. The site is only in Russian. There are no particular legends, but it is claimed that Dino Ricci shoes have gained some fame in foreign countries. Information, however, about this brand in the foreign Internet is not. Shoes are sold only in Russia; may, however, still in some other CIS countries. Production: China, Turkey. The reviews are quite contradictory.
Eber Klaus. Sometimes this shoe is issued for German, but in fact it is sewn in Russia. The official site is only in Russian; very poor, does not contain information about the company and brand. Prices are not very high, few reviews.
Elche. Obviously, the Russian brand of shoes. On its website clearly outlines the geography of sales: CIS countries (including Russia), Israel. The location of the factories on the site is not disclosed. The site is only in Russian; information about the brand is only in the Russian-language Internet. Reviews of shoes Elche is not very much, but mostly they are positive.
El Tempo. They pretend to be Spaniards, but apparently they have nothing to do with Spain. The site is only in Russian; There is no information about the shoe brand El Tempo in the foreign Internet at all. There are few reviews, there are both positive and negative ones.
El monte. The name, naturally, reminds of Italy. However, this is a purely Russian brand; He does not openly speak about his origin, but he does not invent legends. It only reports its popularity among Russian designers. At the same time, many believe that this is an Italian brand. The prices are quite high, the quality is good.
Elmonte owns another brand – Enzo brera, also supposedly Italian shoes. On the Enzo Brera website, everything is extremely concise and neutral; There are many words about Italian traditions and glamor, but there are no lies. But on the websites of some online stores there is false information that this is an Italian brand. Prices for Enzo Brera shoes are rather big, the quality is decent, but there are also negative reviews.
I apologize for such a strange logo Enzo Brera – but there was no other. Maybe this is such a brand identity …
Enzo Logana – It is positioned as an Italian shoe, but it is sewn in the Moscow region, and has nothing to do with Italy. Sold only in Russia. The quality, judging by the reviews, is quite good, although, again, there are also negative reviews. Prices are high and, it seems, Enzo Logana shoes are not worth the money.
Ergo (Goergo). In general, a fairly honest Russian brand. Shoes are sewn in Turkey, Poland, Brazil, Italy, Portugal – as stated on the site. The reviews, however, are contradictory.
Fellini. Buyers sometimes have the impression that the brand impersonates Italian, although the description of Fellini on the site
It is worth adding that there is still the Canadian brand of shoes Fellini (production is hardly Italian, since they write only about Italian leather). In addition, there is a Greek shoe store called Fellini.
Fly London. The brand was invented by the British, but in fact “in the bud” was bought by the Portuguese Frederico Fortunato (in 1994), the owner of Kyaia. Shoes are made in Portugal, but the main market for the brand is England, Portugal takes the second place. A rather peculiar, even unique situation, considering that today the British have nothing to do with the brand. Read more about the history of Fly London (in English) here.
Francesco Donni. A large brand with a wide network of branded stores. The site is funny: on the one hand, it tells some fiction about a descendant of a supposedly outstanding Italian shoemaker moving to Russia; on the other hand, it is indicated that shoes are made specifically for Russia and in Russia. From the reviews, however, you can find out that some models are generally Chinese. And it’s obviously not Italian, whatever the salespeople tell you.
Prices at Francesco Donni stores are not that small. And the reviews are very contradictory: someone is happy, and someone complains of peeling paint, poor quality, an uncomfortable shoe. In general, apparently, the quality leaves much to be desired.
It should be added that the shoes of the already mentioned brand Dali (also of Russian origin) is sometimes very similar to the model of Francesco donni; It is very likely that some models of these brands are sewn at the same factories.
Franco manatti. Information about this brand is very small. The name evokes thoughts about Italy, but there is no information about this brand on the Italian-language Internet. The brand has no website. I found several offers in the German online store, as well as in the Kazakhstan store (more precisely, even a chain of stores), where this brand is adjacent to some German brands of the middle price segment (and, sometimes, also names for Italy).
Gerzedo. Russian brand, founded in 2011 by the Russian company Elite Style. Chinese and Turkish production. Sometimes a brand is issued for Italian (for example, in some cards on the site KupiVIP it says “design country: Italy”).
Giotto. The name, of course, “under Italy”, but the brand is honest. The site directly states that shoes are made in Russia, at a factory in Moscow, materials – including Italian. The quality is good, the prices are adequate.
Giovane Gentile. The name hints at Italian origin, but in fact it is a Turkish brand owned by Ergem tekstil. However, Turkish origin is not advertised, and in Russia sellers often start telling tales about Italy. Giovane Gentile items are sold in many countries (mainly Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa), but not in Italy. In general, the usual average brand with “Italian” ambitions. The prices due to the legends are too high.
Gizzara. The site, in fact, only in Russian. The English section contains Russian texts. This shoe is sold only in Russia; There is no information about her in the English-language Internet. As indicated on the site, the brand has existed since 2012. There are practically no reviews.
Grand gudini – Another brand that mimics Italian. He is silent about his origin on his website, but he says that the Grand Gudini brand has earned a reputation only “in Moscow and the regions of Russia.” So there is no deception, but the name can be misleading. Also quite controversial is the statement that the company invites designers from Europe who “follow the fashion trends.” But to follow does not mean to design and create. Prices in Grand Gudini are average (sometimes tall), the quality is also average, the reviews are very contradictory. The footwear is made in Russia and China.
Gut. The brand is positioned as a German with Portuguese production. The official site could not be found. I also did not find information about this brand in the English-language Internet. The brand is very mysterious, given the fact that I have seen as many as four versions of its logo (it is possible, however, that there are several brands with this name).
HCS and JC Collezione. These brands belong to the Chinese company Highline United China, which, in turn, belongs to the Chinese company Max Oriental Group (see here and here). Founded in the mid 2000s. Chinese production. In this case, for some reason, there is information that the HCS and JC Collezione brands were founded in Italy. Apparently, this is due to the fact that a contract was signed with the Italian designer Franco Cicciola who moved to China, who now heads the Max Oriental Group design team, which includes representatives from as many as ten nationalities (see here). The main markets for JC Collezione and HCS, it seems, are East and Southeast Asia + CIS. On its website, Highline United China writes about hundreds of JC Collezione stores … in China!
Henderson. The main specialization of this brand is men’s business clothes, but now shoes are produced under it. The roots of Henderson are Polish, but for quite some time this brand belongs to a Russian company. The origin of its brand does not hide. Shoes are made in China and Portugal. Prices are above average, the quality is pretty decent. But nothing special.
It is worth noting that there is a little-known Italian brand of shoes Henderson. These shoes are noticeably more expensive than “our” Henderson and are usually sold in multi-brand stores of expensive shoes.
Inario. The Russian company that owns the brands Inario, Sharly, Sabinari, Lucky fox. Shoes are made in China and sold in Russia. Prices are low.
Ita ita. Wonderful name, in English, as they call the disease i’tai-i’tai, which causes intoxication with cadmium salts. I must say that this is not a specific shoe brand, but a network of Russian stores selling allegedly Italian shoes. In fact, Ita Ita stores can claim the title of “werewolf nests.” There you can find Franco Bellucci issued for Italian shoes, which are actually Polish, Chinese Itauomo shoes and shoes of other similar brands. At the same time prices are very high, although the quality is quite decent, and some of the brands presented sew shoes from leather, dressed in Italy. But all this looks like a kind of lottery, so I still advise you to bypass these stores.
Jack porter. Only Russian site in the domain ru. No information about this shoe brand in the foreign Internet is not. Apparently, the brand has appeared recently. There are almost no reviews. Chinese production.
Jillionaire, VS, Perfection, Botinerri, Vera Victoria Vito. All these brands seem to belong to the same Russian company. She, in general, does not hide, but, frankly, bypasses the topic of the origin of shoes. It is a question of some Italian standards, but the country of tailoring is not indicated; in most cases, this is China. Reviews of shoes of these brands is not enough, there are also negative ones.
Just couture. The site is available only in Russian. It does not explicitly state that the brand is Russian, but it is said that it was founded in 2009 by Just Couture, which is apparently based in Moscow. Sometimes this brand is issued for Italian. Its products are made in China and are sold, it seems, only in Russia, Ukraine and some CIS countries.
Kapricci. The site is only in Russian, the information is only in the Russian-language Internet. It is stated that the brand was created in collaboration with Italian designers, but their names were not disclosed. Production: China. There are not so many reviews, they are quite contradictory. There is a strong negative.
Kari. Brand cheap shoes. The site is only in Russian; information about the brand is only in the Russian-language Internet. Prices are low, but judging by the reviews, the quality leaves much to be desired. The production, again judging by the reviews, is mainly China.
Kristina&Milan. The brand’s website is only in Russian, there is no information in the foreign Internet. Very controversial reviews, so it is better to stay away from this brand.
Kruzo. There is no website, there is no information in the foreign Internet either. Sometimes this brand is issued for the European, but it was not possible to find any ties with Europe.
Lena Milan. The brand is funny with its name. He does not have a website, but this shoe is sold in many online stores. Of course, the shoes are not Italian; It is produced in China. Responses are contradictory: there are both good and sharply negative ones.
Lisette. The site is only in Russian. The question of the origin of the brand on it bypasses. Some stores openly write that the brand is Russian, but some may say that the brand is French. Lisette shoes are made in China, sold only in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus.
Loiter. This footwear is made in Russia, ostensibly on the Italian technologies. It is not known whether this is true, but the fact that sellers sometimes strive to give Loiter as a German mark, or even Italian. The manufacturer is a firm, apparently small, it does not even have its own website. Loiter shoes are not that expensive; it is difficult to say something about quality, since there are few reviews about it.
Read more about the Loiter brand here.
Luigi Ferro. The brand does not even have a website, but Luigi Ferro clothing and footwear is widely represented in Wildberries. No information about this brand in the foreign Internet could not be found. Prices rather big. Positioned as “premium elegance from Italy”, the Italian luxury brand. Meanwhile, Luigi Ferro does not even have a logo at least in any decent resolution.
Marco Bonne. The site is only in Russian. A rather vague description of the brand, with reference to international cooperation of professionals. No obvious legends. In the foreign Internet about this shoe brand information either.
Mario Berluchi. Salon shoes network. The site is only in Russian, but there is no information about the origin and history of the brand on it. Information about this brand in the foreign Internet either. Apparently, these shoes are sold only in the CIS countries. The name, apparently, wanted to pick up under Italy, but already the word Berluchi gives a non-Italian origin of this brand.
Mario Ponti. This brand is owned by the Greek company Kasta, which owns other “werewolves”: Beira Rio, Picadilly, Aero by Kasta. Mario Ponti shoes sewn in China, prices are affordable. Reviews a bit; Judging by them, the shoes are not bad.
It should be added that there is another, apparently, Russian (not Western European, at least) brand, whose shoes look very, very similar in appearance to some models of Mario Ponti. This is a brand Mia mianti.
Mascotte – issued for the English brand, the name is usually associated with Italy. But in fact, it is a Russian brand, founded in 2000 by the company Moskot-Shuz. Production in China. Prices are high, and the quality and convenience of shoes, some buyers say, leaves much to be desired. Mostly Chinese products are sold. A lot of negative reviews. For the price you can find shoes from real European brands.
Massimo Renne. The site is only in Russian, zero information in the English and Italian Internet. Prices, let’s say, are average. The site states that shoes are made in Italy, China, India. It is stated that the headquarters is located in Italy. Shops are only in Russia. The hosting site is located in Russia, the domain is registered to a Russian individual.
Nursace. Turkish brand. Sites in Russian and Turkish. What Italian brand has served as a model for “imitation”, I think it is easy to guess.
Palazzo d’Oro. It looks like a Lithuanian brand. It has two sites: Russian with the .ru domain and “international” with the .com domain. So, the international site belongs to the Lithuanian company Shoes Palace (see here). If the Russian site claims the Yugoslav roots, then the “international” talk about the roots and specific countries of production is not. But there is a whole bunch of fun: “every season we offer 3000-5000 models of shoes”, “the design of shoes is developed … … by shoemakers and shoe-holders from Italy, Germany and Portugal” and the main “our products take the leading positions in sales in all cities where our brand. ” However, there are almost no reviews about Palazzo d’Oro shoes. Well, outside Lithuania and Russia, it seems, it is not sold anywhere.
Paolo conte – Russian brand, not hiding its origin. Alas, some consider it Italian. The prices are quite reasonable, but still high for this product from China. It is stated that Italian designers are involved in the development of shoes, it is very difficult to verify this, but in most cases the design itself doesn’t turn Italian into Italian. The quality is average, the price corresponds only to the period of sales. In general, it is better to bypass the shops of Paolo Conte.
Patrol. Russian brand of cheap shoes; the brand’s owner also owns brands Amazonga, Cornado, Dicarra, Evamayer. The site is only in Russian; Information about the shoes of these brands in the foreign segment of the Internet is missing. Information on the site is very concise; There are no legends about European origin. There are few reviews, and they are ambiguous.
Per te. Russian brand of shoes, existing since 1995. I did not find the site. The shoes are manufactured at a factory in the city of Pushkino. The quality is good, but the prices are frankly high.
Pier lucci. The name evokes thoughts about Italy and the Italian shoemakers, but on its English-language website, Pier Lucci clearly states its Turkish origin. Accordingly, Pier Lucci shoes are sold mainly in Russia and Turkey, some Eastern European countries. Be careful: some sellers give out Pier Lucci for a real Italian brand.
Provocante. The name is some Italian, and the shoes sold under this brand are issued for German. Already this inconsistency causes suspicion. We open the website of the company – and we see that this brand was registered in Germany; the question of who she was registered with is silent. On the other page of the site it is said only about accounting for German standards. In the stores themselves, sellers usually say that they are German shoes.
There is no information about Provocante shoes on the foreign Internet. The legend is not very elaborated, but it exists. The price-quality ratio is generally decent, but generally leaves much to be desired.
Ralf Ringer. Some buyers think it is a German or Austrian manufacturer. In fact, the shoes of this brand are made in Russia and China. Well-equipped factories with good quality control. The design is simple, the delights are no different. The quality is good, prices are affordable. Russian origin, admittedly, is not hidden, but sometimes sellers can tell legends about German roots. But, I repeat, Germany and in general Europe does not smell here.
Reflex. Brand inexpensive shoes in casual style. The site (only in Russian) has neither a logo, nor information about the brand. On the foreign Internet, of course, there is also no information about this brand.
Renaissance. Russian brand. The site states that shoes are made in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and is being developed with the participation of Italian and French designers (which is very difficult to verify). The company that owns the Renaissance brand also owns Cooper and Daze.
Rendez-vous. Brand of the same name of the Russian network of multi-brand shoe stores. For France has nothing to do.
Renkonte. Not very expensive, but not the cheapest shoes for men and women. For Italy has nothing to do. In stores Renkonte sold, in addition, shoes brands Birinci, Birinci Elite, FinnManner – All this is the fruit of Russian-Chinese cooperation. There are almost no reviews, so it is better, in my opinion, to refrain from experiments.
Rheinberger. Shoes under this brand are sewn at a shoe factory in Ryazan, owned by Ryazanvest. It is claimed that by German technology. Maybe it is so. It should be noted that once the German brand Rheinberger really existed, but it ceased to exist about 20 years ago.
Roberto Rossi. Positioned as an Italian brand. There is a website in Italian, which, however, in the “Where to Buy” section is indicated only Russian stores (and even in the Italian-language section). The address, phone number and name of the legal entity is not on the site, there is only an email address. At the very beginning of the video, words in English and Russian appear in the Italian-language section, but not in Italian. There are Russian words in the Italian-language section of Pubblicita. This site is hosted in Russia, and the domain is registered to a person named Roberto Rossi, but for some reason with a Spanish address.
Roscote, Rossconi. On its website, the company owning these brands honestly declares its Russian origin and that these shoes are made in China. However, Italian-language names can be misleading.
Sasha Fabiani. Here, by name, one can guess the Russian roots – however, they say that they are not Russian, but Ukrainian. There is no information in the foreign Internet about this brand. The site is only in Russian, and many sections are empty.
Solo song. These shoes, according to information from a single store, are made in China by Chengdu Aiminer Leather Products Co. Ltd. In any case, in Europe and America nobody knows about this brand. Prices are not to say high, but not very low.
Svetski. He is silent about the origin, shops only in Russia and Ukraine. The feedback is mostly positive. There is information that the brand belongs to the above-mentioned Alba company.
Tervolina. A significant part of the shoes sold in these stores is sewn in China and Russia (including the factory “Leader” in Togliatti). Value for money adequate; In addition, in the salons of “Tervoliny” you can find inexpensive shoes of real European brands (production – Asia and Eastern Europe).
Thomas Munz. Both on the website, and in advertising, and in stores it is openly said that these are German shoes, a German company. The advertising activity of Thomas Munz, by the way, has recently expanded considerably. A website in German by Thomas Munz appeared relatively recently, but try to compare it with the Russian-language website: it is much poorer, there is very little information on it, there are no stores. In addition, the online store of the brand is available only in Russian. Finally, there are no German-speaking social media accounts.
In all likelihood, the brand and the company are only registered in Germany, but de facto they have very little relation to this country. There is practically no information on the English-language Internet about Thomas Munz.
Vigorous. Brand cheap shoes, existing since 1991. Origin on all sites is bypassed, and the brand’s own site does not work. Most likely, the brand is Russian, and shoes are sewn in China. There are few reviews, but they are good. Much of the shoes, it seems – from leatherette.
Vitacci. Brand of children’s and women’s shoes, which is issued for the Italian. But there is no information in the English and Italian segments of the Internet about this brand at all. Vitacci shoes are sold only in Russia and Ukraine, maybe even in other CIS countries. The site is only in Russian. To Italy, most likely, in general has nothing to do. But judging by the reviews, the quality is good.
Vito. Awarded for the Finnish brand, but the site has only in Russian. There is no information about Vito shoes in foreign (and Finnish as well) Internet; It is sold only in Russia and Belarus. The only contact email that was found is in the domain
Vittorio Ventura. Chinese brand of shoes, which some sellers stand out for Italian. On his website he confesses about Chinese roots and that shoes are sold mainly in China, Southeast Asia and the CIS countries. However, he writes also about the branch and research center in Italy, as well as about Italian designers. It is difficult to verify; all that can be said is that there is no information about the Vittorio Ventura brand in the English and Italian-language Internet, just as there is no website in Italian. Well, the fact that the production is Chinese, the brand indicates on its website, describing the factory.
By the way, shoe brands Sandro G., Carlo Marinozzi, Louis Alberti and Carlo Paciotti belong to Vittorio Ventura.
Westriders. Positioned as a German brand whose shoes are sewn in Portugal. There is a website in German and English for the brand (albeit, very poor and uninformative), but there is no information about it in the English segment of the Internet at all. Apparently, the brand is indeed registered in Germany, but it belongs to Russian Ivan Pichugin (see, for example, here). Prices are quite high, but the reviews are mostly positive. Whether the shoes are really sewn in Portugal is a question, but it is definitely not being developed in Germany, and the Germans have nothing to do with it. Accordingly, it is sold only in Russia.
Zenden. Russian brand of shoes sold in stores of the same name. Russian origin does not hide. Produced shoes in Russia and China. Reviews are different, rather contradictory.
ZergBoot. It seems to belong to the same company as the brands Jillionaire, Perfection – that is, Sun-groups. Information on the foreign Internet is not. Online
Zumita. This brand is sometimes given for Italian, but its website is only in Russian. This shoe is sold, it seems, only in Russia; There is no information on the foreign Internet about it. On its Russian-language site Zumita says nothing about its origin and its history.
In addition to the aforementioned brands, there are also lower rank brands: they do not even have their own website (or there is a website, but a primitive one), there are no company stores; Naturally, information about them is only in the Russian-speaking Internet, and this shoe is sold, as a rule, only in Russia (and sometimes even in Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan). These brands include Clemento, Companion, Cosottinni, Fonti, Francesco V, Franz Muller, Glossi, Guido Grozzi, Giorgio Vito, Labmilano, Meniani, Paul Mitchel, Pindian, Rooman, Shoiberg, Siandca, Terra Impossa, Valentino Coopere, West Club. Some sellers and online stores give them for European brands.
At the end it is worth mentioning that in Russian stores Salamander and Riker (really German brands, the first higher level) shoes and other brands are sold, rather doubtful. Arzoli, Amati and not only – what is behind these names? There are very few reviews about them on the Internet, so when you buy it is worth being careful, carefully inspect shoes. I must say that in other supposedly mono-brand stores, shoes of “left” brands can be represented.
