Central Europe Tour

House Museum

In the XIX century. A poor Russian nobleman, in addition to a hired city apartment, had ancestral estate somewhere in the village, in the open air of nature. In a small manor house, as a rule, the family could live permanently or on short visits – especially since there was absolutely nothing to do in the capital cities in the summer: it was thought that dust and stuffiness had a bad effect on health. Those who did not have the estate near Moscow, to the best of their means, tried either to purchase it or to rent it for a long time. That is why in the Moscow, Tver and Novgorod regions there are many cozy estates, many of which belonged to famous scientists, writers, artists and composers.

We invite you to an excursion tour of the charming noble estates on the way from St. Petersburg to Moscow. We will visit Tchaikovsky, Blok, Mendeleev, Tyutchev and many others, we will see authentic interiors, in which the personal life of these outstanding people, closed to outsiders, took place. We will also visit Russian cities on the way between the estates – Tver, Klin, Sergiev Posad, dive into the atmosphere of the XIX century county life, we will see unique monuments of ancient Russian architecture and curious museums.
