Pasta with stew and cheese

Potatoes with stew is, of course, not a dish of "high" cuisine, and it can not be called festive. But nevertheless, among ordinary, everyday meals, potatoes with stewed meat occupy one of the first places. Such popularity is quite justified – it is simple, it is fast, it is nourishing and, most importantly, tasty.

For this recipe, I used my own homemade stew, but it’s also great for the store. The main thing is to buy a fresh and high-quality stew of a trusted manufacturer.

Potatoes with stew like both adults and children, so it is prepared by so many hostesses. I am also one of them – in my family both the husband and the daughter are happy to eat such a lunch or dinner.

  • 6-8 medium potatoes;
  • 200-300 g stew;
  • 1 medium carrot;
  • 1 medium onion;
  • 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil;
  • 4-5 black peppercorns;
  • 1 bay leaf;
  • salt – to taste.

Carrots clean, wash and three on a coarse grater.

Peel the onion and cut into thin half-rings or quarter-rings.

Heat oil in a pan and put chopped onion in it.

Fry the onion on low heat, stirring occasionally, until transparent and light golden (about 5-7 minutes).

Add carrots to onion in a frying pan, mix and then send to a small fire.

Cook onions and carrots together, again, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.

Peel potatoes and cut them into fairly large chunks. The shape of the pieces is not critical, but try. In order for the potatoes to turn out to be approximately the same size, then it will be ready at the same time.

In the pan, in which we will our dish, we lay out the potatoes.

Add onions with carrots.

Now came the turn of the stew. I cook it myself – it’s quite simple. But, of course, you can use the store stew. The main thing is to make sure that it is of good quality so as not to spoil your dish.

We need not only meat, but also the fat that is in the bank. Do not worry, in this case it will not be superfluous.

Put the stew in the pan to the potatoes, onions and carrots.

Mix the contents of the pan.

Pour about 1 cup of boiling water into the pan.

Fluid should be quite a lot. But nevertheless it should not cover the potatoes with stewed meat completely – you will not cook the potatoes, namely, stew.

Put in the pot bay leaf.

Add salt and pepper.

And once again, mix everything well.

Put the pot on the fire and bring to a boil. Stew under a lid on low heat for 20-25– minutes until potatoes are ready. A couple of times during this time we mix the potatoes with the stew. Water no longer need to pour.

By the end of the cooking liquid in the pan will not so much, but still it will be. Let it not bother you much – such a “yushka” is very tasty.

Put the stewed potatoes on a plate and serve hot.
