How to cook in the oven

No, probably not a single housewife, who at least once did not try to bake an omelet. And not simple, but the kind that is served to children in kindergarten or to students in the school cafeteria.

But does everyone succeed? Sometimes the following happens: first, an omelet in the oven rises perfectly, delighting the hostess immensely, and then … it falls, turning into a fat pancake.

Of course, the omelette is tasty, but why does it come low?

Cooking secrets

  • The pomp of an omelet depends on the ratio of milk and eggs. For one egg you need to take 50 ml of milk. And the more eggs, the better.
  • Properly selected baking omelet – the key to success. It can be round, square, rectangular, but necessarily small in volume and with high sides. If the omelet mass is poured onto a usual baking sheet, then it will be spread in a thin layer and a lush omelet will not work. In a small form with high edges omelet during baking will actively rise.

Omelet in kindergarten in the oven

  • eggs – 10 pcs .;
  • milk – 500 ml;
  • salt – 1 tsp;
  • butter – 60 g

  • Wash eggs in warm water and then break into a deep bowl.

  • With a whisk, stir everything until smooth, but do not whisk. This condition must be adhered to strictly.

  • Put the form in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.
  • Do not open the oven for the first 20 minutes so that the omelette mass does not fall off. Observing the baking of an omelet, one can notice the following: its edges first begin to rise, but the middle remains liquid, then it is baked. When the entire surface of the omelet is covered with a golden crust, and the middle of it becomes flush with the edges, you can get an omelet from the oven.
  • Carefully separate the edges of the omelet from the walls of the form, cut it into portions and place on a heated plate.

Omelet as in a kindergarten in a slow cooker

  • eggs – 5 pcs .;
  • milk – 250 ml;
  • salt – to taste;
  • butter – 30 g
  • In a deep bowl, break the eggs, lightly stir.
  • Pour the milk and put the salt. Using a whisk, mix the egg-milk mixture until smooth. Beat up the liquid is not necessary, otherwise the finished omelet you quickly fall off.
  • Grease the bowl of the multicooker with oil and pour the omelet mass into it.
  • Close the multicooker with a lid, set the Baking program and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Allow the omelet to rest in the bowl for 5 minutes and serve. Such an omelette turns out very lush and tasty – as in kindergarten.

  • eggs – 6 pcs .;
  • milk – 50 ml;
  • water – 50 ml;
  • butter – 30 g
  • In the bulk bowl, break the eggs.
  • Add milk and water, salt.
  • Fork or whisk lightly whisk the mixture. No need to beat it up to increase the volume. Enough to mix eggs with milk.
  • Heat the pan, grease it with oil. Pour omelet mass.
  • Slightly mix the liquid from the edges to the middle and cover with a lid. Reduce heat to low.
  • As soon as the whole omelette thickens – it is ready.
  • Put it on a pre-heated plate and serve it to the table.

Omelet as in a kindergarten in a frying pan (second option)

  • eggs – 6 pcs .;
  • milk – 300 ml;
  • butter – 40 g;
  • salt – to taste.
  • In a bowl, break the eggs and pour the milk. Salt it.
  • Stir the mixture with a whisk.
  • The pan with a thick bottom warm up well and lubricate with oil.
  • Pour the egg mixture into it, lightly mix and cover.
  • Reduce heat to low. As soon as the whole omelette thickens, it can be removed from the stove.
  • Wait a minute for the omelette to adapt to room temperature, and only then remove the lid. Put it on a pre-heated plate and serve it to the table.

Lush omelet with sour cream in a pan

  • eggs – 6 pcs .;
  • sour cream – 6 tsp;
  • butter – 50 g;
  • salt – to taste.

How to cook in the oven

  • In a bowl, break the eggs and lightly mix.
  • Add sour cream and salt.
  • Using the whisk, combine the ingredients until small bubbles appear. Do not try to beat the mass to a lush state, as this will adversely affect the quality of the omelet.
  • Heat the pan, grease it with oil and pour the mixture.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook the omelet until it thickens completely.
  • Carefully place on a pre-warmed plate.

Hostess note

Argued that the omelet must be high. But it is not. As mentioned above, its height depends on the amount of omelet mass. Therefore, if you want to get a lush, high omelette, use a small form with high sides.

If, after all, you decide to cook an omelet with flour, do not put it too much. Enough 1 teaspoon per 1 egg.
