Since the turkey drumstick was large enough, almost a kilogram of weight, (probably the turkey was very important), I decided to bake it whole in the oven, preliminarily marinating, so that it was more expensive.
Ingredients turkey drumstick in the oven
- Turkey leg – one large 900 grams (you can have 2 -3 less)
- For marinade
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Honey – 2 full teaspoons
- Mustard – 2 teaspoons
- Salt pepper
Marinated turkey drumstick
The turkey drumstick needs to be marinated first. If time is short, at least for an hour at room temperature, if possible, for another three hours in the refrigerator.
Wash my turkey and dry it with a towel.

Cut garlic into thin slices and stuff our turkey drumstick with them, making cuts in the pulp. The skin can be pushed back, stuffed the meat, and then the skin back in place.
Now you need to shred well marinate and marinate to put at least 2 hours, and you can leave the night. It is advisable, at least once to turn our meat during marinating.
How to cook turkey drumstick in the oven
When the meat is marinated, put in a baking dish (or on a baking tray) a couple of layers of foil with the reflective side to the meat, out matte. Pour the remaining marinade and salt pepper on both sides. I also put a couple of bay leaves and a few peas of allspice.
We seal the foil so that the liquid does not leak, and send it to the preheated oven. First, set at 230 degrees for 30 minutes. If you do not have such a big drumstick like mine, set the timer for 20 minutes.
Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and set the timer for one hour.
An hour later, the turkey must be removed, opened the foil, poured over the juice and folded in the foil so as not to interfere with the meat baking, put in the oven for another 15 minutes to brown. It is advisable to turn on the airflow.
After 15 minutes, turn off and let stand in a hot oven for another ten minutes. Then we get our ruddy and fragrant garlic and sweet turkey drumstick and treat ourselves to it.
