Biological drug Devoroil

The biological product Devoroil is intended for the biodegradation of petroleum and petroleum products when contaminated by soils, natural reservoirs, water areas, industrial effluents and the remediation of contaminated areas. The drug is a carefully selected community of hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria and yeast, successfully working in various natural and anthropogenic ecosystems.

Devoroil has a wide range of biodegradation of hydrocarbons of any structure (linear, cyclic), is actively introduced into the thickness of the oil layer, restores the processes of aeration.

After treatment with a biological preparation of contaminated soil, an easily decomposing bacterial protein and ecologically pure neutral oil oxidation products remain in the soil, contributing to the development of the natural microflora of the ecosystem.

One of the main factors limiting the process of decomposition of hydrocarbons is the gas-air regime of polluted soil. For the oxidation of hydrocarbons by microorganisms, the presence of molecular oxygen is necessary; under anaerobic conditions, the oxidation process is extremely difficult.

Loosening of polluted soils increases the diffusion of oxygen, reduces the concentration of hydrocarbons in the soil, provides a breakdown of surface pores saturated with oil, but at the same time promotes a uniform distribution of oil and oil products in the soil and an increase in the active interaction surface. This creates an optimal water, air-gas and thermal regime, the number of microorganisms increases, their activity increases, the activity of soil enzymes increases, the energy of biochemical processes increases.

The optimum soil temperature is 20 – 37 0 C.

Soil availability with biogenic elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) is an important factor determining the intensity of decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. Lack of nutrients must be replenished by applying mineral fertilizers to the soil. The need for nutrients depends on the type of soil, but in almost all cases the application of nutrients in the form of mineral fertilizers stimulates the decomposition of hydrocarbons. Biogenic elements contribute to the soil during milling. When introducing a culture of destructive microbes with mineral fertilizers to areas covered with water, the reduction factor is 2.0 per 1000 m 3 of water.

Soil moisture has a positive effect on the rate of decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. After irrigation, the agrochemical properties of the soil are improved, in particular, the mobility of nutrients, microbiological and enzymatic activity increase.

Soil acidity also plays an important role. PH values ​​close to neutral are optimal for growth on hydrocarbons of most microorganisms. For soil deoxidation, you can additionally add lime or dolomite flour in the amount of 2000 kg per 1 ha. Lime reduces the mobility of toxic substances contained in petroleum.

For the active recovery of sod-podzolic soils that have been transformed into technogenic salt marshes and sodic soils as a result of oil pollution, chemical amelioration, in particular gypsum, is recommended. In this case, with a sufficient amount of moisture in the presence of gypsum, absorbed sodium is displaced by calcium, and the resulting sodium sulfate is washed away, the technogenically-induced alkalinity of the soil decreases.

Sowing grass with a branched root system into the oil-polluted soil contributes to the acceleration of the decomposition of hydrocarbons. The positive impact of agricultural plants, in particular perennial grasses, is due to the fact that their developed root system helps to improve the gas-air regime of polluted soil, enriches the soil with nitrogen and biologically active compounds.

All this stimulates the growth of microorganisms and accelerates the decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. You should also consider the ability of the plants themselves to decompose various petroleum hydrocarbons.

Community microorganisms are able to effectively oxidize oil hydrocarbons with C9-C30 chain length and aromatic hydrocarbons in a wide range of acidity of the medium (pH4.5-9.5) and temperatures (5-45 ° С).

Devoroil is a multiculturalism with 5 types of microorganisms. 1 (one) titer – one gram of the drug contains at least 280,000,000 cells. Since each type of microorganism exhibits the greatest activity for individual fractions of oil, it achieves the greatest efficiency, because all fractions of oil products are processed at once with a uniform rate.

Devoroil and its applied methods, which were carried out on the territory polluted by oil, were presented at the International Exhibitions “Oil and Gas” in Russia and abroad (Moscow 1993-1994; Alma-Ata 1994; Leipzig 1994-1995; Singapore 1994, Tyumen 1995-1996, Ufa 2000–2004) where they deserved the highest praise.

Possibilities of the Devoroil biopreparation for cleaning oil pollution:
