Biological drug Devoroil
The biological product Devoroil is intended for the biodegradation of petroleum and petroleum products when contaminated by soils, natural reservoirs, water areas, industrial effluents and the remediation of contaminated areas. The drug is a carefully selected community of hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria and yeast, successfully working in various natural and anthropogenic ecosystems.
The drug microorganisms are adapted to environments with salinity up to 150 g / l,
The last property of the drug significantly reduces the time needed to neutralize pollution and protects microorganisms from washing them out of the oil with flood waters and heavy rain.
P reparat easy to use. A working suspension of the preparation is applied to the contaminated soil or the surface of ponds and rivers (prepared immediately before use) by sprinkling or spraying with the help of any designated machines and units (at a soil or water temperature of +5 ° C + 45 ° C).
Consumption of the drug depends on the degree of contamination of the soil, water surface.
Special additives introduced into the composition of a biological product significantly intensify the process of oil destruction, increase the efficiency of work in natural environment.
Devoroil has a wide range of biodegradation of hydrocarbons of any structure (linear, cyclic), is actively introduced into the thickness of the oil layer, restores the processes of aeration.
After treatment with a biological preparation of contaminated soil, an easily decomposing bacterial protein and ecologically pure neutral oil oxidation products remain in the soil, contributing to the development of the natural microflora of the ecosystem.
One of the main factors limiting the process of decomposition of hydrocarbons is the gas-air regime of polluted soil. For the oxidation of hydrocarbons by microorganisms, the presence of molecular oxygen is necessary; under anaerobic conditions, the oxidation process is extremely difficult.
Loosening of polluted soils increases the diffusion of oxygen, reduces the concentration of hydrocarbons in the soil, provides a breakdown of surface pores saturated with oil, but at the same time promotes a uniform distribution of oil and oil products in the soil and an increase in the active interaction surface. This creates an optimal water, air-gas and thermal regime, the number of microorganisms increases, their activity increases, the activity of soil enzymes increases, the energy of biochemical processes increases.
The optimum soil temperature is 20 – 37 0 C.
Soil availability with biogenic elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) is an important factor determining the intensity of decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. Lack of nutrients must be replenished by applying mineral fertilizers to the soil. The need for nutrients depends on the type of soil, but in almost all cases the application of nutrients in the form of mineral fertilizers stimulates the decomposition of hydrocarbons. Biogenic elements contribute to the soil during milling. When introducing a culture of destructive microbes with mineral fertilizers to areas covered with water, the reduction factor is 2.0 per 1000 m 3 of water.
Soil moisture has a positive effect on the rate of decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. After irrigation, the agrochemical properties of the soil are improved, in particular, the mobility of nutrients, microbiological and enzymatic activity increase.
Soil acidity also plays an important role. PH values close to neutral are optimal for growth on hydrocarbons of most microorganisms. For soil deoxidation, you can additionally add lime or dolomite flour in the amount of 2000 kg per 1 ha. Lime reduces the mobility of toxic substances contained in petroleum.
For the active recovery of sod-podzolic soils that have been transformed into technogenic salt marshes and sodic soils as a result of oil pollution, chemical amelioration, in particular gypsum, is recommended. In this case, with a sufficient amount of moisture in the presence of gypsum, absorbed sodium is displaced by calcium, and the resulting sodium sulfate is washed away, the technogenically-induced alkalinity of the soil decreases.
Sowing grass with a branched root system into the oil-polluted soil contributes to the acceleration of the decomposition of hydrocarbons. The positive impact of agricultural plants, in particular perennial grasses, is due to the fact that their developed root system helps to improve the gas-air regime of polluted soil, enriches the soil with nitrogen and biologically active compounds.
All this stimulates the growth of microorganisms and accelerates the decomposition of petroleum and petroleum products. You should also consider the ability of the plants themselves to decompose various petroleum hydrocarbons.
Community microorganisms are able to effectively oxidize oil hydrocarbons with C9-C30 chain length and aromatic hydrocarbons in a wide range of acidity of the medium (pH4.5-9.5) and temperatures (5-45 ° С).
Devoroil is a multiculturalism with 5 types of microorganisms. 1 (one) titer – one gram of the drug contains at least 280,000,000 cells. Since each type of microorganism exhibits the greatest activity for individual fractions of oil, it achieves the greatest efficiency, because all fractions of oil products are processed at once with a uniform rate.
This is the main advantage of the drug Devoroil over other drugs.
Devoroil and its applied methods, which were carried out on the territory polluted by oil, were presented at the International Exhibitions “Oil and Gas” in Russia and abroad (Moscow 1993-1994; Alma-Ata 1994; Leipzig 1994-1995; Singapore 1994, Tyumen 1995-1996, Ufa 2000–2004) where they deserved the highest praise.
Possibilities of the Devoroil biopreparation for cleaning oil pollution:
- Works in a wide range of temperatures (+5 to + 45 ° C);
- It works in a wide range of medium acidity (pH 4.5 – 9.5);
- Active with significant chemical pollution;
- Effectively works without a noticeable decrease in activity when: the acidity of the environment is 4.5–5.5 units, the salinity of the medium is up to 85 g / kg, the content of heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Ni, Cd, Pb) is ten times higher than the MPC level, the content of polychlorinated biphenyls, chlorinated anilines, 2,4,5-trinitrotoluene can reach 0.05%.
- Adapted to media with high salinity (up to 150 g / l NaCl).
The technology can be used for contamination:
- high and low paraffin oil: paraffin content reaches 22.2%;
- viscous oil;
- oil with high sulfur content: the content of free sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, polysulfides, thiophenes reaches 5.5%;
- petroleum products: fuel oil, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and
Ecological, sanitary and fire safety:
- Devoroil is environmentally friendly, since as a result of the biodegradation of oil, neutral products are formed that do not adversely affect ecosystems. Standard tests on crustaceans and fish have not recorded a negative effect on hydrobionts.
Devoroil has been produced and applied on an industrial scale since 1992.
At present, the drug is used in various regions of Russia and the CIS, and further afield, both for cleaning water bodies (natural and artificial), and for soil rehabilitation and cleaning of technological areas.
Devoroil has proven itself in various climatic zones and different types of soil. Here are just a few examples:
1. Western Siberia, Tyumen Region, Pravdinskneft Oil and Gas Production Department and other enterprises
Microbiological treatment of water and soil was carried out in contaminated areas:
T Yumenskaya (LLC "Lukoil Western Siberia" – CCI Kogalymneftegaz, CCI "Langepasneftegaz", "Megionneftegaz", "Nizhnevartovskneftegaz"JV "Vanieganneft"), Tomsk (OAO "Tomskneft" VNK) and Irkutsk regions.
Republic of Komi (JSC "Komineft", JSC "Mobel Oil"), Tyumen (OJSC "Slavneft-Megionnef-Tegaz"JV "Vanieganneft", Corporation "Yugra-oil"NGDU "Samotlorneft"NGDU "Belozerneft"NGDU "Priobneft") and Tomsk (NGDU "Vasyuganneft", Tomskneft OJSC" WNK) areas.
The work was carried out under the supervision of the nature conservation committees of these regions. Over the entire period of application of the technology, about 800 hectares polluted with oil and oil products of the soil and water surface have been reclaimed and put into use by the relevant nature conservation committees.
As a result of the use of Devoroil after a month, the film oil of the water surface acquired a non-spreading flocculent structure, settled to the bottom, and after two months completely disappeared.
2. Bashkortostan: the active use of the drug found in various areas of Bashkortostan in the elimination of oil pollution in the areas
NGDU “Ishimbayneft”, “Arlanneft”, “Chekmagushneft”, “Ufaneft”, “Tuymazaneft”, etc.
3. Overseas: Republic of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, etc.
Works on wastewater treatment plants:
The work of the sewage treatment plant was modeled in a laboratory unit belonging to the Institute of Informatics and Microbiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (laboratory of oil microbiology). The installation had several filtering elements, made on the basis of dornit, with a total area of 6 * 10-2 m2. The cells of hydrocarbon-oxidizing microorganisms that make up the Devoroil biologic were immobilized on the dornit.
Tests have shown that at a water exchange rate of 6 volumes per day, the concentration of dissolved oil products decreases from 18 to 0.12 mg / l in one day,
Field work was carried out at two wastewater treatment plants: in the city of Lyubertsy and the city of Balashikha. At the Lyubertsy wastewater treatment plant, tests were conducted during the commissioning period (July-August 1995). The effectiveness of the work only floating filters (booms made on the basis of foam) treated with the drug “Devoroil” was tested. Analyzes of water samples (laboratory for analysis of surface runoff Mosvodostok, Dachkovskaya
Similar results were obtained with the use of floating biofilters and “MosvodokanalNiiproekt” at the “Kerosene creek” treatment facility (project report RAS-4 from
The combination of floating biofilters and filter elements (dornit) with immobilized cells of the Devoroil biological product made it possible, even in October, to reduce the concentration of dissolved petroleum products at wastewater treatment plants of the military unit 35690 Balashikha to 0.21 mg / l (protocol of inter-district specialized inspection of analytical control from
The experience gained gives grounds to expect that an increase in the contact time of the treated water and biofilters, which is technologically quite achievable, will reduce the content of dissolved petroleum products to values less than 0.1 mg / l.
In addition, the use of the drug “Devoroil” may have other positive effects. So, according to the IIRI
