1914 The first poetic book “Twin in the Clouds” is published. Boris Leonidovich meets and enthusiastically communicates with Vladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky.
1917 Pasternak works At the plants of Ushakov, in the Urals. there he meets Elena Vinograd, whose fascination is reflected in the Third – almost the best – Pasternak book “My Sister is Life”.

1930 Pasternak is tragically experiencing the suicide of V. V. Mayakovsky. During the summer holidays near Kiev a fiery feeling is born towards Zinaida Nikolaevna Neuhaus, the wife of a close friend, a pianist. In 1931, Pasternak and Neuhaus get married.
1932 The book “rebirth”, Perceived, as the turn of a parsnip To a new, less metaphorical, and more simple style. After the decree of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), the Russian Association of Proletarian Writers was liquidated, the leaders who poisoned Pasternak, the poet does not utter the words he expected from him to “support” the decree.
“Do not sacrifice your face for the sake of the situation” – these words were made by Pasternak at the 1st congress of Soviet writers, where in the Bukharinsky report he was recognized as the first living Soviet poets.
1935 Pasternak begins a severe mental and poetic crisis, caused by the ambiguity of his position — either a “companion” or an “official poet.” On December 5, Stalin’s aphorism was published in Pravda: “Mayakovsky was and remains the best talented poet of our epoch”, which Pasternak perceives as a public rejection of the authorities from the thought of imposing this role on him. The crisis is exacerbated and goes into severe neurosis.
1936 After long ordeals In communal apartments, Pasternak moves to the Winter dacha in Peredelkino, where the bulk of his life will henceforth pass. Here, for the first time, images of the future characters of “Doctor Zhivago” (Dudorov, Gromeko) will appear. He will begin work on the novel in 1945. Despite the expectations of the government, Pasternak refuses to sign a writer’s “wrathful approval” to the execution of Soviet commanders Tukhachevsky, Yakir and others; Boris Leonidovich is awaiting arrest, but at the last moment Stalin cancels the arrest order.
1941 Due to an injury in his youth, Pasternak dropped out of all the upcoming wars: two world and civil wars, which put him in the position of a contemplative and pushed together two incompatible traits: readiness to “big” fight with life and stay on the sidelines. “Doctor Zhivago” is a novel about the participation of Man in history. His heroes are tested by the fire of the Russian revolution, which Pasternak considered a turning point in the destinies of the century. Such a novel could have no other fate than the one that fell to its lot.
1958 Pasternak was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. The poet is harassed by the authorities, the press and the community of Soviet writers, but he refuses to leave the country.
Unbearable opposition physically cracked Pasternak. He had an advanced tumor in his lungs. May 30, 1960 Life is separated from him.
