Cutting of the stems of plants is carried out with the help of plate knives, hinged on rotors, rotating at a speed of 65 m / s towards each other. The knives cut the grass according to the principle of an unsupported cut, pick it up and take it out of the cutting area, moving it over the cutting bar. The trajectories of the knives of neighboring rotors mutually overlap, which ensures high-quality mowing.
The mowed grass, having hit the shield of the field divider, changes the trajectory of movement, fits into the mowing and makes room for the passage of the tractor wheels during the subsequent passage.
3. The drive of the mower is carried out from tractor VOM.
1. Frame hinge.
The mower is connected to the tractor attachment using a hinge frame (Fig. 5), consisting of the main frame 1 and suspension 3.
The main frame is a welded structure with axles 7 for fastening it to the lower weights of the tractor’s hinged device. On the right side there is an axis 10 for fastening the fuse, which, after installation, is fixed by pin 11 and linch pin 12. Suspension 3 is attached to the frame pivotally on axis 2, in the lower part of which there is a bracket 6 for fastening the subframe via axis 5 fixed by nut 8 and pin 10. The suspension is also attached to the chain 4 for fastening the transport traction.
The subframe (Figure 6) is a welded frame structure and is a link between the hinge frame and the cutting unit. The design is based on a duct 4, on which there is a pipe 1 with bushings 2 for connecting the subframe to the suspension, a bracket 5 for attaching the transport linkage and a telescopic locking device, a bracket 9 for attaching the traction fuse, a bracket 10 and an overlay 3 for attaching the belt drive housing, the bracket 12 for mounting the stand, bracket 11 and bracket 14 with the cracker 13 for fixing the drive. In the front part there are lugs 6 for attaching the lifting mechanism, as well as a bracket 7 and a lining 8 for mounting the drive box.
The balancing mechanism is designed to limit the pressure of the cutting unit on the ground, to ensure that the cutting unit copies the field irregularities and to transfer the mower to the transport position.
The balancing mechanism (Fig. 7) consists of a hydraulic cylinder 5, pivotally connected to the lever 16, which is connected to the cutting unit through the free-wheeling thrust 13 through springs 9 and 10 through the lever sector 19 and the flexible thrust 15.
To hold the mechanism in the transport position and prevent the lowering of the cutting unit in the event of a hydraulic system failure, the transport link 24, which is attached to the pin of the bracket 11 (see
Adjusting the pressure of the inner and outer shoes of the cutting unit on the soil is carried out with tension bolts 6.
To fix the transport rod 24 and the telescopic locking device 23, pin 25 with ring 1 and pin 22 are used.
The links of the lifting mechanism are hingedly connected with each other, as well as with the frame and with the cutting apparatus by means of axes 2,3,11,12,14,17,18,20,21.
When the working position of the cutting unit, the rod of the hydraulic cylinder 5 is extended, the position of the control valve knob is "floating". Transport link 24 folded and secured by a chain. Pin 3 telescopic locking device is removed from the hole and attached to the bracket. The springs 9 and 10 counterbalance part of the weight of the subframe and the cutting unit and provide the necessary pressure of its shoes on the ground. Moving the cutting unit when copying field irregularities is provided by a free-wheeling stroke 13 and an articulated four-link, formed by the frame, subframe, lever 16 and hydraulic cylinder 5.
When driving around obstacles, turning and small crossings, the cutting unit is transferred to the near transport position. This operation is performed by the driver of the cab from the vehicle. At the same time, the hydraulic cylinder of the tractor’s hinged system is first switched on, and the mower, together with the hitch, rises to the required height. Then the hydraulic cylinder of the mower 5 is turned on, its rod is retracted and through the thrust 13 the cutting apparatus rotates.
In the raised position, the cutting unit is not fixed, therefore, in order to avoid failure of the hydraulic system of the mower, long movements of the unit in the near transport position are not allowed.
When translating the mower to the transport position for long journeys, as when converting to a near vehicle, the tractor’s hinged system cylinder is turned on, and the mower rises to the required height along with the hitch. Then the hydraulic cylinder of the mower 5 is turned on, its rod is drawn in and through the lever 16 and the thrust 13 turns the cutting unit to a vertical position. 4. Rotary cutting unit.
Rotary Cutter (
Under the bottom 26 mounted shoes 23, with which the cutting unit rests on the ground.
The cutting unit can rotate freely in the trunnion brackets 1, providing copying of the uneven ground.
On the cutting apparatus there are four identical rotors 14, each of which is equipped with two knives 8 pivotally mounted on special bolts 17, elongated knives are mounted on the middle rotors, the rotors 14 are mounted on shafts 11 in a splined connection, tightened with nuts 3 and locked with washers 10.
In the lower part of the shaft 11 on the keys are fixed gears 19, connected kinematically with the distribution of the leading gear 32 through the intermediate gears 20, each mounted on bearings 6 and axes 7.
The distribution gear 32 is installed on the spline connection on the shaft 30.
To control the level of oil in the cavity of the cutting unit, the plug 5 is used. In this case, the cutting unit must be set to a position close to the vertical, transport position.
Bearings 9 are lubricated through lubricators 4.
In the right side of the cutting unit has a bracket 16 for mounting the field divider.
5. Field divider.
The separation of the canted mass from the unmowed grass stand is carried out using a field divider.
The field divider consists of a bracket, a divider shield, a spring with a cup washer and a bolt. The divider flap is set at an angle to the direction of movement of the unit. The spring holding the divider flap in the working position allows it to retract to it at the moment of overload and return to its original position.
6. Gear mechanism.
The drive of the mower’s working bodies is carried out from the tractor PTO through a cardan drive to the drive pulley shaft. Further through the V-belt (
1. The driveline consists of a telescopic shaft, two hinges, closed telescopic casing mounted on ball bearings. To prevent the housing from turning, there are two locking chains attached one to the frame of the mowing unit and the other through the bracket to the average tractor hitch.
An overrunning clutch 3 is mounted on the shaft 8 (see Fig. 13) in the pulley 2 housing, designed to ensure the idling of the rotors and transmission mechanisms when the tractor’s PTO shaft is turned off. The drive pulley 2 is mounted on bearings 5 and 6 in the housing 7, pivotally suspended from the subframe on the axis 9. The coaxiality of the grooves of the driving and driven pulley is ensured by displacing the housing 7 due to the adjustment of the adjusting washers 1.
V-belts are tensioned using a tensioning device (see Fig. 14), consisting of tensioner 1 pivotally connected to the pulley body, spring 2, cup washer 4 and nuts 3. Tensioner 1 is installed in the hole of the cracker 13 (see Fig. 6 ).
7. Traction fuse.
Traction Fuse (
The stand serves to hold the mower in a position that is convenient for storing and hanging on the tractor. It consists of a pipe, a sole and a spring cotter pin. On the pipe, there are holes for fixing the rack; the top one is in the storage position on soft ground, the middle one is in the storage position on hard ground and the bottom one is in the working position of the mower.
9. Hydraulic equipment.
The hydraulic equipment (see Fig. 7) is intended to provide a balancing mechanism drive and consists of a hydraulic cylinder 5, a retarding valve 8, a breather 4, a high pressure hose 7 and a device that prevents oil from flowing out of the hydraulic system when it is disconnected from the tractor.
10. Fencing tractor cab.
The fencing of the tractor cab ensures the safety of the machine operator at the workplace during mower operation. It consists of a frame on which the metal mesh is stretched, brackets, tensioner. The fence is mounted in the tractor cab with bolts, nuts and screws. When attaching the fence to the MTZ tractor, it is necessary to drill two holes in the cab for fastening the brackets.
