Gallstone disease is a pathology associated with obstruction of the processes of production and excretion of bile, in which solid, dense particles (stones) are formed from calcareous salts, low density cholesterol and bile pigments (bilirubin). The magnitude and number of increments are different – the larger the number of particles, the smaller they are. Elderly and middle-aged people are more susceptible to the disease, women are more likely to suffer from stones. Let us consider in more detail the reasons why gallstones appear, symptoms, treatment without surgery using traditional and traditional medicine, as well as disease prevention.
Gallstone disease is a consequence of impaired neuro-trophic regulation of the secretory-metabolic-evacuation function of the liver and gallbladder. Mostly dense formations are located in the gallbladder, in more rare cases – in the intrahepatic passages. People with chronic gastrointestinal diseases are most susceptible to the formation of increments: gastritis, peptic ulcer, duodenitis, enteritis, colitis, constipation, and, of course, cholecystitis.
The process of stone formation begins with metabolic disorders, disorders of the secretion of biliary secretions, pathological changes in the liver ducts caused by inflammatory reactions, bile stasis, infection penetrating into the body.
Factors provoking the formation of stones:
- hypodynamia, lack of sufficient physical activity;
- wearing corsets and slimming belts;
- systematic violation of the diet, in particular, long breaks between meals, a hearty dinner, the abuse of fatty foods, the presence in the diet of trans fats (margarine, fast food), deficiency of vitamins, trace elements and fiber in food;
- the use of a number of drugs, for example, estrogen contraceptives;
Gallstone disease often occurs in patients with the following pathologies:
- neuropsychiatric disorders;
- viral hepatitis;
- stones in the kidneys;
- sand in urine;
- typhoid fever;
- congenital hemolytic anemia;
Gallstones – symptoms, treatment without surgery
A characteristic symptom of finding stones in the gallbladder is gall / hepatic colic, in which cutting intense pain occurs in the right hypochondrium with a possible return to the area of the right scapula and shoulder. Pain goes by attacks and lasts up to several hours.
Colic is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, bitter taste in the mouth, dry mucous membranes of the mouth, skin itching, jaundice symptoms (darkening of urine, yellow sclera). Attached infection may cause fever. In the right hypochondrium during palpation, there are sharp pains.
Sometimes the patient has a feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region, epigastrium, flatulence, diarrhea, shortness of breath. The attack can be triggered by external factors: alcohol abuse, ingestion of peppered, fatty, fried, smoked food, stress, physical overload, nervous breakdown, overcooling of the body.
Sometimes stones do not reveal themselves for many years. In cases of overlap of the bile duct with an increment, there are attacks with fainting and convulsions. A stone or splinter clogs the cystic duct, which can lead to the development of edema, peritonitis, fistulas, infection of the biliary tract.
After examination of the patient by ultrasound and cholecystography, which allows to identify the figure of increments, and testing (blood, urine, cystic bile), the doctor prescribes treatment. Radical method – surgical removal of stones, indicated when complications occur and frequent bouts of the disease.
In addition to surgery, there are other therapeutic treatments. Antispasmodics allow you to remove colic and relieve the patient from pain (dibazol, papaverine, platyphilin, no-spa, eufilin). Of the pain medication most often intramuscularly baralgin or intravenous novocaine are administered.
Therapy is carried out in a hospital. In some cases, the patient is prescribed drugs that contribute to the dissolution of stones (drug litholysis – henodioxycholic or ursodioxycholic acid). In the presence of infection, a gastroenterologist prescribes antibiotics, sulfa drugs (5 – 10 days).
By regulating the metabolism with the help of normalization of nutrition, rejection of fatty foods, frequent walks and sports, it is possible to significantly improve the state of health, in general, and the gall bladder, in particular.
Enrich the diet with fresh fruits, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, mineral compounds and dietary fiber. It is useful daily to include in the menu parsley, celery, beans, carrots, pumpkin, bran.
At the first symptoms of trouble in the gastrointestinal tract, consult a gastroenterologist. Timely treatment of major diseases will help prevent the formation of increments.
Folk methods of healing gallstone disease
Recipes of traditional medicine should be used only under the supervision of a specialist and after ultrasound examination, which aims to identify the size of the stones and their location. Herbal infusions and decoctions allow you to soften the increments, crush them and display in the form of sand or small fragments. However, not knowing what is happening inside the body, it is difficult to predict what the consequences will be from taking one or another medical composition. It is impossible to get rid of large stones at home, but when small ones are removed, the probability of blocking the cystic ducts is high.
Apple vinegar. The acids of the product prevent the liver from producing low-density cholesterol, which in many cases causes the formation of stones. Add 15 ml of natural apple cider vinegar to a glass of fresh apple juice. Take medicine for colic. In the morning, drink fast boiled water on an empty stomach (200 ml) with the addition of 5 ml of lemon juice and 10 ml of apple cider vinegar for several weeks, after which make a control ultrasound.
Peppermint. Due to the presence in plant leaves of special substances that dissolve increments – terpenes, it is useful to take mint tea. Take a teaspoon of dried raw materials per cup of boiling water, leave for 10 minutes, filter, dissolve a spoon of bee honey and take it for 1.5 months between meals twice a day.
Juice therapy. Using a juicer, squeeze the juice from 1 beet, 1 cucumber and 4 carrot root vegetables. Drink the resulting cocktail in the morning for 14-17 days.
Mix 100 ml of sauerkraut brine (can be replaced with freshly squeezed cabbage juice) and tomato juice without salt. Drink for several months on an empty stomach.
Strawberry juice helps to dissolve the stones and prevent them from re-forming. Reception on 80 ml three times a day for half an hour before the main meals.
Black radish juice mixed in half with honey. Reception on 10 ml of structure in a quarter of an hour before breakfast within half a year.
Chicory. Grind dried chicory root, 2 tables. spoon pour 300 ml of boiling water, leave to infuse for 20 minutes, filter, divide into 5-6 doses, drink after a meal.

1 recipe) Mix crushed fruits and dried shrub flowers in equal proportions. 2 cha. spoons of the mixture pour 250 ml of hot water and stir for a quarter of an hour on low heat, leave for 2 hours, filter, add honey to taste, drink instead of tea two or three times a day.

When cholelithiasis is forbidden to eat vegetable oil from flax seeds and fish oil. Flour products, heavy protein and fatty foods are also contraindicated. Herbal preparations and remedies have different effects on the body, so all methods of healing must be agreed with your doctor. Be healthy!
