It has long been a dream to fill your home with coziness and comfort, the best done to complement the interior decor will be made with ekibana with your own hands, a photo of one of these is offered to your attention below.
The homeland of art creates beautiful flower arrangements and not only is Japan. The ancient masters laid the foundation for the manufacture of a set of some rules that should be followed in the work on the creation of the next masterpiece. Usually, the equibans are flowers that complement various minor details (leaves of various colors, berries, cones, twigs of trees and shrubs, acorns, all kinds of dried flowers and
Over time, this wonderful art moved far beyond the borders of Japan and soon conquered the whole world. Today, such compositions do not adhere to strictly Oriental motifs, although the basic criteria for the compilation of bouquets are still observed.
Ekibana do it yourself – autumn.
In the autumn, living flowers are getting smaller and it is not so easy to make a bouquet to decorate our home. We will not be upset about this and use the gifts of the golden season of the year.
We will prepare all the material in advance, from early autumn. After all, the weather conditions at this time are very changeable and the first frosts may occur in the month of October, thereby ruining our plans to us. Let’s go for a walk on a beautiful sunny day in a park or maybe there is an opportunity to get out into the forest, and we will get a unique material to create an autumn composition. Pay attention to everything that surrounds you – multicolored leaves, various twisted twigs (the more unusual the shape, the more original the crafts), berries, flowers, tree bark, in a word, everything that seems interesting and unusual to you.
In order to get beautiful Ekibany with their own hands, all the material collected by us, you first need to properly prepare. It is very important! The leaves and flowers should be dried by hanging them upside down in some dark and dry place.
We dissolve glycerin with water, in the ratio of 2 parts to 1 and soak the collected material in solution, so it will retain its natural color well, the colors will become, even much brighter.
Various branches, dried flowers, bark of trees – we will sprinkle with usual hairspray, possibly with the addition of spangles, elements treated in this way will look pretty festive in the overall composition. Do not be afraid to experiment.
Use for stand vases of any shape. Pumpkins, tree cuts, baskets, any plates, ceramic bowls and trays will look original. The main thing is that they are not very bright and beautiful, otherwise they will kill the attention from the main composition. For fixing the Ekibany, sand soaked with water, a piece of foam or reinforce the craft with the help of ceramic drainage. Gypsum solution can be fixed heavy, massive branches. A wooden cut with pre-drilled holes in it can also be an excellent basis for the composition.
How to make ekibanu own hands?
Here everything depends entirely on your imagination. Consider in advance the basic and form of the composition in order to have an idea of what result you are striving for. Then you can fully and completely surrender to the flight of imagination and fantasy.
Strive for harmony, all components must be combined and intertwined with each other, so that the end result will be an article made with taste and in one theme.
Let’s look at some of the principles in drawing up ekibany. The composition should be as dynamic as possible, so the stalks of the twigs have a special slope in it. There is a need for asymmetry leading to a sense of a perfect world. The ideals of which are the three main components: sky, earth and man.
Heavenly line is displayed as a classic in the installation of the main flower or branch at a right angle in the upward direction.
The human line should protrude 3/4 of the celestial one and should be installed with a slope to the left side, approximately 45 degrees.
The earth line is located at the very bottom of the overall composition and in relation to the human line, has a length of 3/4 from it. It is also tilted to the side, only the right one, about 75 degrees.
The various emotions of the composition will give different curved branches, always irregularly shaped.
Since ancient times, in Japan it is customary to endow each thing with a certain symbolism, which gives it a special purpose and meaning. In our case, with compositions, it is also possible not to deviate from the ancient wise principles. The rose is a symbol of youth, sakura – symbolizes loyalty and devotion, bamboo – resilience in any life situation, pine – teaches endurance in any trouble.
If you work with live plants and flowers, you should create eqiban in accordance with the season, this is one of the most important principles for creating ekiban compositions. In the spring, it can be lovely primroses – tulips, snowdrops, lilies of the valley and daffodils, later – peonies and roses. In summer, it is the turn of field blooms. In the fall, naturally, the choice falls on the richest varieties of dried flowers and fallen leaves, and in winter, according to the upcoming holidays, it will be enough to acquire a sprig of spruce or pine and add, for example, pretty Christmas cones.
Before starting work, remember the important rule. Ekibana should not be excessively bulky, this is different from the composition of bouquets in the European style. So it is quite enough to compile the 3 main elements described above.
Choose the main flower or branch, it should be the brightest, the most beautiful and, in addition, the tallest. The average details of the crafts will be more modest, and the lower ones will simply move.
Ekibans are used to decorate any part of your home, or you can arrange them at once in all rooms and here too there are some small rules. For example, it is better to decorate a bedroom with fresh seasonal flowers of delicate colors, and in the kitchen, on the contrary, the bouquets of various dried flowers, fruit, vegetable or fruit-beneficial elements will look more relevant. In the bathroom, you can build an emphasis on marine motifs using various shells, river pebbles, reeds and
Let’s look at several master classes with you, and try to create a similar beauty on your own.
On the eve of the New Year we will create an original New Year composition – ekibana of flowers with your own hands.
For its production we can take any flowers, we have prepared for these purposes tulips and cedar branches. For a composition that will decorate the New Year’s table will require the following:
1. Flowers. The number of colors used depends entirely on the capacity, which will serve as a base for our crafts, and also on the size of the flowers and branches. We take from 20 to 50 pieces and exactly half the size of coniferous branches.
2. Vase. It can be from ceramics or any other material. Depending on the size of the tank, a certain number of plants are taken.
2. Tools. Scissors, a knife, foam, used in floristics, a glue gun will also come in handy, and a special liquid will be very useful to prevent flowers from fading.
Container preparation. To begin with, the form is properly measured and cut out the blank from floristic foam. It does not have to be a fully fitted base. For a more secure fit, you can cut it a little larger and push it into the container by pressing it with a little glue in advance in the middle of the inside of the bottom of the container.
Next, dilute some liquid in clean cold water to prolong the life of the flowers (follow the instructions that came with the preservative). Fill the vase by about 3/4.
Flower decoration. Prepare the flowers, save them from unnecessary leaves or thorns if they are available. Buds should remain only on top of the stem, remove all the excess.
Then we cut off the lower part of the stalk to the spike, this is necessary so that the plants better absorb the water and smoothly enter the oasis.
After that, we begin to insert the flowers one by one into the foam moving along the bottom circumference, skipping a little space between the flowers in order to later insert cedar branches there.
Making needles. Branches of needles divided into parts. It is necessary to clean the ends with a knife for better entry into the foam. The length of each branch is adjustable during the process of composition. Fill all the free space, just moving in a circle. Be sure during operation, periodically check the correct formation of the composition. To do this, step aside a little and look at it from the side.
Take a good look at the product, adding the missing details. Do not forget about the form. That’s all.
Arrangement for a wedding decor.
Here is another not difficult version Ekibany, which can be made for a wedding table. We will need:
– 1 large pineapple;
– big tablespoon;
– plastic bottle of the right size.
1. First you need to cut the top of the pineapple with a knife. We also cut a pineapple with a knife, separating the center from the edges, approximately at a distance of 1.5 cm.
2. Then take a spoon and very carefully choose the pulp from the fruit. We can immediately eat it with pleasure.
3. Fill the container with floristic foam pre-soaked in water.
4. Next comes a purely creative process, depending solely on your imagination. It is possible to decorate such an original vase with any flowers, branches and various auxiliary elements.
In the same way, fine Ekibans are made, the components of which are flowers made of paper, and not just natural material. Below we will tell you how to make such own hands.
We present to your attention a master class on the topic – ekibana with your own hands from paper. Let’s make roses on the basis of corrugated paper.
Prepare the necessary material and tools:
– red corrugated paper (approximately 75 cm. long);
– green corrugated paper (30 cm long);
– green wire;
1. Red paper is folded in half horizontally so that we have thin stripes.
2. We measure about 8 centimeters and bend one end of the product to the bottom. Thus, we will form the middle of our flower.
3. To form the petals, gently fold the paper and bend at the end.
4. Make the bottom of the flower dense so that the flower does not hang out and keep its shape.
5. Having reached the end point, and having practically formed a rose, we leave about 8 centimeters free, so that with this remaining end, firmly fix our bud on the stem.
6. Insert the green wire into the rose and gently pierce its bottom.
7. We take green corrugated paper and cut out a detail for sepals from it, put it on the wire, pull it to the flower and glue it to the back of the bud with glue.
8. Cut the remnants of green paper so that we have thin long strips of at least 15 centimeters. Smearing a little glue on one side, we begin to wrap tightly a strip on the stem, starting from the roses towards the bottom.
Done! Such amazingly beautiful roses can be perfectly used for decorating ekibany, tender snow-white daisies, proud peonies, carnations, chrysanthemums are also formed – all flowers made from paper are perfect for your masterpieces.
