Diet for pancreatitis

In case of acute pancreatitis, you will have to starve for a couple of days, you can only drink plenty of mineral water without gas, rosehip broth or weak tea.

Prohibited Products

It is necessary to exclude from your diet or even refuse forever from the following:

  • fat
  • roast
  • pickles
  • sour juices
  • canned food
  • sausages
  • smoked meats
  • chocolate
  • confectionery
  • alcohol
  • hot spices and seasonings

Despite all the limitations, you need to remember that nutrition should be balanced and contain proteins, fats, carbohydrates. Make sure that the diet is varied and includes both vegetable food and animal protein.

Permitted Products

In chronic pancreatitis it is very important to stick to a diet in order to avoid exacerbation of the disease. What can be eaten with pancreatitis:

  • dairy products include kefir, yogurt, non-sour cottage cheese and non-spicy cheese;
  • from meat can be beef, veal, chicken, turkey, rabbit, but only in the form of meatballs, mashed potatoes, souffles;
  • low-fat fish varieties: cod, pike perch, bream, pike;
  • boiled or baked vegetables in ground form;
  • dried wheat bread or crackers;
  • soups (vegetable, chicken, cereal, noodles);
  • eggs (steamed omelette);
  • fats: butter, olive, refined sunflower oil;
  • cereals and pasta: pasta, pasta, oatmeal, semolina, buckwheat, rice;
  • fruits: savory, baked apples and pears;
  • sweet compotes, jelly, jelly;

Dinner: 150g of oatmeal; 100g steamed patties; 100g carrot puree; 1 slice of white bread; 200ml milk tea

Second day

Breakfast: 100g oatmeal; 100g boiled beef; 1 slice of white bread; 200 ml of mineral water without gas.

Lunch: 100g cottage cheese pudding; 1 slice of white bread; 100 applesauce; 200ml tea without sugar.

Dinner: 300ml vegetable soup; 100g fish steam cutlets; 100g pumpkin porridge with sugar; 1 slice of white bread; 100g cottage cheese; tea with milk.

Tea time: 100g meatballs; 150g carrot puree; 100g applesauce; 100g of yogurt.

Dinner: 150g of meatloaf; 150g mashed potatoes; 100g cottage cheese pudding; 1 slice of white bread; 100ml fruit jelly; 200ml tea without sugar.
